Hi there,
I have applied to fsw1 application in last december 2011,its in process right now but now me and my husband are planning to get divorced?could u please suggest as to what would be the effect of divorce on my application.being the principal applicant i still want to pursue with application.will it affect my point i received coz my husbands blood relatives in canada also submitted dox towards our points and may be his adaptabilty point as well but dont know if i still was over and above or just made it to be eligible to apply.just wondering if i could find out how much i scored to get my PER when i submitted my appliaction at nova scotia.whats the risk involved?plz help?

If you divorce you lose points. If you didnt husband also gets PR...

I feel, if you still secure the qualifying marks of (67 points as principal applicant) on your own, your divorce decree will not impact on your case. Hiding facts from CHC will not be advisable one. CHC has its own mechanism to find the truth. CHC regulations strongly advocates that applicant should immediately update on any changes in family status. Here, the timeline of processing would also not be impacted.

Kindly use the elligibility calculator in cic website to assess your individual point. If you qualify, your chance of securing PR is almost certain.
