My question is, do I have to apply for a transit visa?
I hold a f1 visa of usa, and a passport from china. I am going to travel from usa to shanghai, china via toronto. I entered usa with a valid visa.
I am confused regarding the valid visa. I entered the usa with a valid visa, but it will expire for one month when I leave.
According to the regulations in the above webpage:
1. The CTT permits Chinese nationals holding a valid U.S. visa to transit a participating Canadian international airport on their way to or form the U.S. without a Canadian temporary resident visa if they meet the following requirements:
they hold a valid U.S. visa (see Appendix I, item 13);
2. Approved airlines must ensure that all its CTT passengers transiting Canada FROM the United States to any international destination meet the following criteria:
1. they are nationals of Peoples Republic of China travelling on a valid passport issued by that country;
2. they entered the U.S. on a valid visa;
