PLEASE HELP!! Should Employer reference letter and Workpermit extension match?

Hi All,

I arrived in Canada last year with NOC code 2174 A. I will be filing my Canadian experience class application in the next 2 weeks.

My employer gave me a reference letter where the initial two Job duties do not match the Job duties mentioned in the Work permit extension application. However, the attorney who is currently reviewing my application says the Job description / duties in the Reference letter suit 2174 A.

Is it mandatory that the Job descriptions in Work permit extension exactly match the Job duties in the Reference letter? Will the Visa officer / CIC refer my old Work permit extension application while processing the PR? Please suggest.

do you have LMO. what's on your LMO ? use that NOC .

your work permit is closed type ,right, then you can only work under that code.


then you can apply with that code only too , then make your current letter's duties close to that code is ok.

the change doesn't matter, because you didn't change NOC you can work . that's my opinion.

and you should change to match 2174 .

Unlikely ... the letter for the work permit will be viewed (not impossible, mind you), but as I understand it, your concern is that the two lists of job duties are not identical - if they are reasonably close, I wouldn't worry about it at all.

More important that your letter of employment for the PR application be a good fit with the NOC.
