I'm just confused
I just received a request to send a DECLARATION OF THE APPLICANT form .
there's a Question remind me of injustice happen to me ( Been detained, incarcerated or put in jail ) do I have to clear about something happened more than 16 years ago ?it's a fighting issue

If you were not convicted or sentenced for prison term and was just some hours or days lockup punishment than you don't have to mention it in the form but if you were guilty and convicted in the court of law and were punished under Govt local charges than you will clearly have to mention it as otherwise when the CIC will ask you to provide police certificate you will fail to show good conduct.

yes I have police clearness issued on November 2012 and valid for one year , but CIC didn't request it , shall I send it with the DECLARATION OF THE APPLICANT form before expiring or that's not a good idea as they didn't ask for it ? I'm applying for PR as protected person
