To whom it may concern;

I've been here in Canada for a year and a half, and my PR card is still not with me. I already send my new application for PR card five months ago. they send it back to me last two weeks and I send it back to them with my missing information. And now I was called to be a missionary of our church. I have to go to Provo Utah for three weeks and I already have my u.s. visa, but I still didn't have my PR card. My flight will be this coming December 15, 2015. What should I do?

And if ever is there anyone knows how long it will takes to process a PRTD?

Do you have any best ideas and recommendation for my issue?

Any response will be appreciated. Thank you.

After your first landing you didnot receive your PR card?.

or is it a renewal if renewal it takes 6 months to process. if its renewal and you stayed for 18 months only you did not meet RO

When I landed here. We didn't receive our PR card. And my mom called them. two weeks after my mom called, Her PR card was been received. We are all shocked and alarmed why it is just my moms. Mine and my siblings are not here yet. We've waited for another week. Then I called the CIC, they told us to send a new application for PR card. And I'm like "what the heck? I didn't get it, why my mom already have hers and mine and in my siblings still don't have our PR card and need to apply again"> So I just passed the new applications and requirements. In short, me and my siblings never had our PR cards. While my parents has theirs.

Did you apply as lost PR card or complete application for PR.Did you try this.I hope you have your landingpapers with you

It is very strange if you have been a landed immigrant for 1.5 years and you don't have your PR card yet.

You can travel to the US BUT while returning back, you will be asked to show your PR card. So, in order to handle this, you can go to a Canadian consulate/embassy in Utah and get a one-time travel document. You can tell them that you have not received your PR card yet and you can show them proof of having an active application to get a PR card.

Do the same thing when you come back to Canada. Show them the one-time travel document and if they ask why you don't have a PR card, tell them your situation (be honest) and show them proof of having an active application to receive a PR card.

The below link contains all the details you need :

Be sure to apply for a one-time travel document in the US. If you don't have this, you might not be allowed to enter Canada.

Thank you for all the responses.

But do you know how long it will takes to process the PRTD in utah? And how much it will cost ?

I am honest . I have my copy of my receipt in my application . Should I show this to them ?
