I am at a loss as of what to do.

My husband has been approved. His medical expires Feb 22. He also needs the visa in his passport...this is the problem.

I happen to be going to Algeria to see him next week. We have 2 options

1. I go meet him, get his passport, fly to Paris, hope and pray they put the visa in it for me, return to my hubby and come home to Canada together.

or

2. He asks for the form and re does his medical. And comes to Canada later.

Has anyone ever picked up the visa for their spouse? Is this ever a problem? Do they do it the same day?

If he does get a medical re done...how long does it take until he will be called for the visa again?

Once he asks for the new medical form does that cancel the old medical validity?

Please please help us, the stress is killing us and I leave on Thursday for Algeria.

hello,
I don't think they will stamp his passport with visa in his absence. the visa office usually ask for medicals to be redone before they issue visa. has your spouse received a passport request already?

just read in another thread that your spouse got his application approved. congratulations!
you definitely need to contact a visa office to make sure if they stamp his passport in his absence. I doubt it, but maybe there are exceptions.
Have a good luck!
