Hi i am an international student here in canada . I just got married one week ago. My husband is a PR here. We will be applying for my PR soon under the family class sponsorship . But i want to know that should i apply for the inland or out land ? which one will be less time consuming . Also as i have a study permit here and have multiple visa in my passport so during the inland process will i be able to go to visit my parents in my back home ? Or should i go for outland .. I am really confused about that as after my application i really need to go back to my country for 1 or 2 week . So what shoud i do .?

Please any kind person help me out here ...

Thanks Smiley

Generally outland has been faster than inland, but now no one really knows if times will be similar or not. Logically, I would speculate if outland was faster for your VO before, it'll probably still be faster, assuming cases were taking less than 12 months.

Either route you pick it should not be a problem for you to visit your home country for up to 2 weeks. BUT, keep in mind, with inland if for some reason you were refused entry back into Canada, your app is cancelled, whereas that is not the case with outland.

Since you have a visa and a good immigration history I don't see a reason to apply inland over outland.

Thanks .. i will go for the outland then ..also can u plz specify some reason on why do thay refuse an entry back in canada ??

If interview is requested by your visa office, you need to go to your country for the interview. (for outland)and thats already stated on the application form so read the forms very very carefully dont skim :)
secondly you cant apply for work permit or work extension during your PR application but can apply for visitor visa . however, no guarantee that your will be approved for the visitor visa.

if you have it you don't need to. I said it in case your visa expires before you get the PR.
