Currently, I have a PGWP (Post Graduate Work Permit) which expires Aug 2013. When its time for an extension can I apply for a regular open work permit for foreign workers without my employer submitting a LMO?

Also, My husband is a full-time student completing his BSc. As his spouse will I be able to make the transition from a PGWP to an Open Work Permit without a LMO?

1. No.
2. If your spouse remains a student, you can apply for a SOWP work permit.
