Hello People:

I have been searching for all online resources about the IELTS requirements for CEC Skill Level A, but failed to find the exact answers for the following questions:

1. Do I need to score at least 6 in each module - listening, reading, speaking, writing? Does a score of 5.5 in any module mean ineligibility? There are all these additional guidelines saying such "if you scored 7.5 in one and 5.5 in another you are fine...", which are confusing;

2. If I scored 6 in all four modules, does that mean I am truly qualified?

3. Is there a preference given to higher scorers? In other words, would a CLB 9 be in a better shape than a CLB 7?

Thanks everyone!

Yes, you need 6 in all 4 Tests if you are applying under NOC A

Scoring Less then 6 in atlest one test makes you ineligible for the program

"if you scored 7.5 in one and 5.5 in another you are fine...",
Minimum 6 and above in each test for NOC A.

2. If I scored 6 in all four modules, does that mean I am truly qualified?
Yes, You meet the Eligibility in Language test

3. Is there a preference given to higher scorers? In other words, would a CLB 9 be in a better shape than a CLB 7?
No Preference will be given , you just need to obtain the eligibility mark in language for your NOC

Thanks everyone!
