We are applying the CPR by sponsor, my wife is Canadian but we have been living in Mexico for years (I'm Mexican), now with our two kids (9 & 7), we decide to move to Canada, My wife and kids moved there in August, at the E center says that application received on August 9 and then it says we started to process your application on Dec 6.

I have done the quebec application, medical test and police certificates (both) and send them to them I got my quebec selection approval, but now that seems that I'm just waiting for their decision, how much more longer will that be?,any Idea for Mexico?,if it's too much more longer would it be any change on waiting there with my family (with out working of course, just as a tourist visitor or with temporary visa), I'm thinking on waiting maximum until middle of February, does any one had a similar situation from Mexico that can give me a better idea?, should I start to apply on my temporary visa now?...I really need to see my wife and kids more than trough Skype ...we are doing everything right the way they asked...we just want a better idea of what more to expect on timing issues...

Hello and welcome !

you should joint the Mexico thread here for lots of information on the process in Mexico.

Everyone's case is different so it is hard to say how much longer it will take you.

You can see here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/fc-spouses.asp that 80 percent of all cases between October 1, 2010, and September 30, 2011 that were sent through Mexico City were processed within 14 months from the time they were received at the embassy (not CPC-M) . Processing times are subject to change.
