Dear All

I am in the process of filling the forms to be sent to CIO Sydney and despite going through the guide got confused on some points. I will appreciate your inputs. Thanks in advance.

Schedule A Background/Declaration
6 (d) have been refused...... an immigration or permanent resident visa.... to Canada or any other country?
Tick
I had FSW pre-feb 2008 application which was terminated by law without being finalised ie yes or no, so does it constitues a refusal or not?

8. Personal History
Provide the details of your personal history since the age of 18, or the past 10 years, which ever comes first.

So if someone is 30 years old do they provide personal history since he/she was 18 yrs or since the age of 20years?

Fee form IMM 5620
I am paying by bank draft
Section B Credit Card Payment section on the bottom right hand corner there is space of date. Is it for only those who are paying by CC or even if one is paying by Draft that it has to be dated.

Tick "NO" - In an additional sheet of paper you may show that your application was terminated because of pre-feb 2008.

Start from very recent and go back to previous 10 years.

No need to look that column.

Thank you Wilson for your input. Much appreciated. Your second and third points are well taken and I agree that pre-feb application has not been refused and will tick accordingly.

Re: refusal/termination of file this is what I found in another post

87.4 (1) An application by a foreign national for a permanent resident visa as a member of the prescribed class of federal skilled workers that was made before February 27, 2008 is terminated if, before March 29, 2012, it has not been established by an officer, in accordance with the regulations, whether the applicant meets the selection criteria and other requirements appli-cable to that class.

(3) The fact that an application is terminated under subsection (1) does not constitute a decision not to issue a permanent resident visa.

So you are right it is not a refusal since no decision was made but terminated (dismissed) without being processed to a decision (i.e. either refusal or approval) .

Thanks once again.
