I request expert advice here from all senior members.
I am MPNP applicant (holding Pakistani passport and working in Saudi Arabia on work visa), completed my medical in Aug 2015 and as per the PPR communication received from ADVO, my visas are valid till 29th July 2016 (which is expiry date of my passport while my dependents passports are valid for longer period). I have a plan to fly around 25th of June 2016 due to my family situation and work bindings.

Now my concern is that as per my understanding as visa validity and passport validity are two different issues, In my case, if I travel on my existing passport. Since my passport will be having one month validity, I might have issues with carriers flying from Saudi Arabia to Manitoba. Also there is no direct flights available and I will have multi flight booking even could have multiple carriers involved. The airlines nowadays don’t allow boarding for passports for validity lesser than 6 months or at worst allow covering the duration of stay period as per visa in the destination country which in my case would have single entry visa (i.e. PR) so not sure whether I could have issues with carriers for boarding the flights. Now as per my limited knowledge and research through web am still unable to decide whether;

1. I receive the existing passport with maple leave stamp and use the same one for travelling purpose in coming June or
2. Should I renew my passport and carry both for travelling as my visa could be valid on old passport but (as per Saudi rules, I would have to get endorsement on my new passport only after putting cancel stamp on my first passport as I am working here on work visa). In such a case, will my cancelled passport (having Canada PR visa) be acceptable by carriers and Canadian immigration center for travel along with a new passport?

I am confused to take a decision at this stage. Can somebody extend his/her sincere advice concerning my situation?

Appreciation & thanks in advance....

When immigration is concerned, they wouldn't have a problem if your passport is about to expire but as you say, your airlines might.

IMO you should talk to the visa office as well as the airlines and ask about your situation and what they advise.
