My kids started school in Canada in sept last year my elder daughter was in year one in England and she was admitted in grade two the education system here is different from British system that was more disciplined and had better quality of education I liked British system more .. In Canada they follow American system very casual but the teachers are usually very helpfull even if kids don't speak English they work hard to make everything easy for kids ...

I believe kids adjust to the new environment quickly as compared to adults so I've never seen any problem with newcommer kids adapting new culture and system

Thanks Sonea....this brings some relief to me as my son is lil shy in nature and remains quite.....hope he accomodates himself in canadian culture real quick

I live in US and here teachers are very friendly and try to help students. If u want you kid to do well in Canada then get him admit in private school as public schools are no match to the quality of the private education.Yes,there are certain exceptions when public schools in a particular area is better than the private schools but the costs of housing in such areas is very high.Canada has the same system which US. has.I hope you have more clarity.

Just want to know whether Child education allowance given by government are really spent ?

Can we use in private schools ,if areawise not suitable ?
