Hello everyone!

Its been a really bad day for me today.

the story is:

I applied for PR last December 2014. And started recently to be worried why my credit card was not charged. Today I called cic and they told me that 3 times Sydney NS Office tried to charge me and it was declined (exactly those three days I had not enough funds damn). 3 times declined means they already has sent me my application back (by regular mail).

My ainp certificate is expiring April 25.
Question: If I will be able to send my new package for PR BEFORE april 25th but by the time it reaches Sydney, NS it will be already expired. Do they pay attention to the date when it was sent or when it was received?

If I contact AINP to extend my certificate they will tell me probably wait for expiration date 25 april. I am so stressed because of that and not sure what to do.

Please advice.
Thank you

So does anyone know if CIC receives your pr application by the time ainp nomination is expired, do they send it back?
Or do they consider the date when you sent them an application?

Like even if they receive my application april 25th and on april 25th its the last day of expiration for the ainp certificate. What will happen in this case?

This time use the online option to pay for the processing fee and once you receive the package make sure you use Fedex Overnight. It is expensive but they will deliver your package next day guaranteed.

Now coming to your questions:

CIC considers the day your application is received by them at NS so if your certificate is still valid the day it reaches their office your application would be okay. Worst case scenario is that all this does not happen then you would need to contact AINP for extension of certificate along with your explanation for extension.

And better luck this time.

The tiny town I live in has no fedex or dhl :(
Next time I will pay in advance. I feel idiot I didnt :(

I called cic today again. The guy on the phone told me there are no notes they sent it back.
Maybe i still have a chance?
I emailed CIO Sydney twice, sent express mail (but coz of holidays it will reach them only next wednesday).
What else can I do?
I found their phone and fax, but phone number nobody picks up and mailbox is full.

Anything else I can do?

In case there is no Fedex/DHL you can still use Canada Priority but its not as fast as Fedex Overnight.

Generally CIC sends back your package by ordinary mail but if the agent at CIC said they used xpresspost you cold have asked for the tracking number which I highly doubt he would have.

Anyway if your package reaches you by Wednesday there is plenty of time at your hand to resend it.

Astasi, thank you!

But what do you think if the agent on the phone said there is no note it has been sent back to me.
Only notes that 3 times declined.

Do you know by any chance after they gave up charging your card do they send your application same day or like in a week??

I have a tiny hope it is still there in Sydney.. 0.0001%
