I’m interested in obtaining permanent residency through family class sponsorship.
I married to a Canadian born husband several years ago in Canada. We had submitted a inland application back to 2017 and this one was withdrawn due to the change of personal circumstances. When AIP decision was pending my husband had some law suits and CIC immediately received the information (i assume it’s the result of RCMP police screening ) we have received a PFL. We had struggled to make a decision, later on we found out there wasn’t enough of time to deal with court and PFL. His lawyer suggested us to withdraw this application- end of the story. His law suits was thrown out of the court before the trail. Meanwhile, I canceled this application and my file was closed.
I want to hear some advice on re-applying inland. I don’t have criminal record.my husband has a criminal record dated back to 1989. I have reviewed carefully, he had drunk driving 1989, misdemeanour 1998 with $3000fines ( graffiti on the public properties ) and one dropped charges (the recent one 2017) procession of marijuana in 1999 fine $5000
My second concern is the wedding ceremony. If we decide to apply again I’m not sure whether our wedding record will suffice officers or not Since he’s Canadian so we went for non-denominational wedding on some island on Pacific Ocean. Although I’m not a religious person it’s very popular for couple celebrating their wedding in jinzenshiki in my culture. he refused me because he thinks it’s too creepy. Let me know what do you think.
There were lots of dramas in my marriage during 2017 and it caused many uncertainties in my future planning. I need to know what should I prepare beforehand ? What should I expect if I submit inland again. We have outlined a list of must submit paper works and we are thinking about getting more paper works in case of bad things happen.
