do i need to buy plane tickets for both ways to show the visa officers at the airport..

No, they are not concern you have one way ticket or return all they ask from you LOA, Passport, Duration of your Course, College / University Address and Course in which you are enrolled that's it. IO are very nice and polite by nature don't worry
