My husband and I are nearly done with our application and are almost ready to send it off. One thing that has me worried is that we don't have many pictures to send in. We're not the picture taking kind of people. We have a total of 6 or 7 photos together of which 5 or 6 are from our wedding. We had a really small wedding with family only. The last one is from a road trip we took with my hubby's mom and brother.

We are sending in other proofs of our relationship like a letter from his mom and proof of shared expenses/ accommodations. Do you recommend we take more photos before sending off the application package? It feels disingenuous to take pictures just for the sake of the application.

How long have you been married? Do you only have a letter from his mom and proof of shared expenses as the other proof?

You can only send 20 photos in, but if the rest of your proof is not strong and you've only been married a short time or got married shortly after meeting or if there are other factors to doubt a genuine marriage (one of you has an expiring status, etc.) then this could be an issue later if they ask you for more proof.

We've been married about a year and a half now. We lived together for about a year after getting together then got married. We have tax forms showing we live together and also chat logs. I have also included congratulatory cards from our wedding.

That will help.

I don't think you need to go and take photos for the application, but include as many as you have, even if they're silly. Between now and getting your PR, take a few more in case you're asked for more. But IRCC won't ask just for photos, they'll basically ask for more proof. And you can include anything including photos.

I don't necessarily think you'll be asked for more proof, but just sort of be prepared. You have more proof than others

I'm just being paranoid. I want them to have 0 reason to reject. XD I'll get my sister to write a letter too I think. Thanks a lot for the reassurance.

No, it's a good idea you have. Think of everything you have that could prove a relationship. Shared travel bookings? Bills (you have already)? Social media updates? Listing of each other on insurance?
