Does anyone have any information regarding the Physician assistant in Canada. Is their any licensing exam? I hard about a course Physician Assistant Integration Program (PAIP) which is run by CEHPEA. I would be grateful if any one can give me detail information regarding the course.
Thanks

There is a physician assistance program at university of manitoba.Check it out if it suits your purpose.

I can see you have got ppr, what other options are you thinking of?

though i am not quite sure, i think these are the other options for a physician.
* Anesthesia Assistant
* Cardiovascular Perfusion
* Clinical Laboratory Quality Manager
* Clinical Research Associate
* Diabetes Educator
* Diagnostic Cytology
* Genetics Technology
* Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
* Sleep Medicine Technology
* Ultrasound
there are many courses on these subjects in the Michener Institute of applied health science but some are too lengthy and I don't have any idea regarding the job market of these profession, especially for foreign graduate.
please share with me your future plan regarding settling in Canada as a health professional
Thanks

Outlook for most healthcare related courses I think is good but just like you said I too dont want a programme that is lenghty hence I am on the look out for a programme of max training duration of 12 months. For now I am thinking of Diagnostic sonography, occupatonal health and safety,medical office assistant and possibly LPN if one can get them to accept ones prior learning and experience.I will like to be in a hospital environment while challenging MCC exams.
