Friends,

Should I write my name, height and eye color at the back of my 4 pictures?

i'm a little confuse on the guidelines. it says:

on the back of one photo of each person, write the name of the person in the photo and his or her height and eye colour.

please advise. thanks

just write your full name, height and eye color at the back of one photo, not all four. Similarly, do the same for dependents if any.

Hi Surf,

Would you post some links on these tiny but important issues while filling up the Skilled class application?
Is there any link that could guide us who would be filling up the forms by themselves rather than hiring a lawyer or an agent.

read country specific instructions...

ND asks for name DOB and date photo taken on the back of all photos (not 1)...

I wrote name, DOB, date taken, color of eye and height to turn all the stones..

Hi

EG7 guide is very helpful when it comes to filling up the forms. Here's the link
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG74.asp

Also carefully read your visa office specific instructions at this link
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/skilled-mission.asp

@ aanbaan,

The guide says 'on the back of one photo of each person...'; so that means only 1 of the photo set for each person should have writings on the back.

@mom2karl - you dd not read my earlier post clearly or maybe I was not clear enough...

CHC ND instructions in appendix A

Supply six (6) photos for each member of your family and yourself. Follow the
instructions provided in section How to Complete the Forms of the application
guide and in Appendix B: Photo Specifications.
On the back of each photograph, write the name and of birth of the person who
appears in the photo as well as the date the photo was taken.

The line I quoted came from from IMM EG7000 (04-2009), page 27 (PDF file). Below is exactly what page 27 contains:

Photos

Photos are not required when you submit your application to the CIO in Sydney. However, you should still prepare your photos in case you are recommended for further assessment at a Canadian Visa Office.

Follow these steps:

1. Take the Photo Specifications Sheet (found in Appendix B of the Visa Office specific instructions) to a photographer.

2. Ask the photographer to provide you with the number of photos required in Appendix A of the Visa Office specific instructions for yourself and each family member.

3. On the back of one photo of each person, write the name of the person in the photo and his or her height and eye colour.

4. Enclose the photos of each person in an envelope and seal the envelope.

5. Write your name and date of birth on the outside of the envelope.

6. If the CIO advises you to submit your application to a visa office for further assessment, staple the envelope to your application form. Be careful not to staple or bend the photos.

END

I wanted to know because I already have my pictures but haven't written anything on the back of it yet.

ok.. if it was a question, then here's the answer...

Consider the instructions in EG7 and consider the instructions in Annexure A.

try to meet the conditions given in both places by making a superset of all conditions.

E.g.
EG7 asks for Name, DOB, color of eye and Height on the back of 1 photo
ND Annexure A asks for Name, DOB and Date photo taken on the back of all photos.

The super set becomes - Name, DOB, color of eyes, height, date photo taken on the back of all photos.

This is what I did. you take your call...

I wrote my name and DOB only

Tell me one thing is it not better to write on the back of all photos, it is always better to be on safer side then why take risk of writing on the one photo.

It is much easier all around if you just follow the overseas office instructions on how they want it.
