Hello,

The immigrant checklist states that the pictures must have handwritten the name of the subject and birthday among other things such as the address, name of the place and date the photo was taken. Can the name and birthday be handwritten by the sponsored or it has to be done by the photographer?

Thank you.

Have a careful read of the photo instructions (I assume you mean the family / spousal sponsorship forms), it says:

The back of one photo must include:
the subject’s name and date of birth
the name and complete address of the photography studio
the date the photograph was taken
The photographer may use a stamp or handwrite this information. Stick-on labels are unacceptable.

Note the text in bold. Seems pretty clear to me that it is the photographer that needs to write the information

You can add it yourself as it can be handwritten. Our studio just stamped the back of the photo with the studio's info we wrote name and birth ourselves.
