Photos for application

I had planned on taking the photos for it, I'm a photographer. However, I can't get my head around how to do so without altering the image for size and am concerned that is 'touching' the image.

Those in the USA, where have you had your photos taken? At a private photographer?

I tried every place I could think of in the US and nobody could do it. I just had them done while visiting Toronto.. it was much easier and I know they were done right. If you are visiting Canada anytime soon that's what I would suggest. I tried a website that said they would do it with a photo you send in, but then they told me the photo I took wasn't good enough and didn't refund my money! There may be legit websites out there though.

Thanks, I don't understand why it's not just passport photos across the board.

We have not immediate plans to visit Canada, I will try to search out some of the online ones. It sounds like they'd have to end up editing the photo for size./scale also then too, which I have successfully done with my childrens photos... but I thought that wasn't allowed..hmm

I went to Sears. They do not make the photos to the size we want but they can adjust the size of the face to closest requirement size (in our case min of 1inch)...and you take them home and cut the rest. It was pain for me since I had to do for myself and my 4 children..45 photos in total!!! Took me all night to do them by hand w/ a ruler. ??? If you decide to go w/ sears, ask them to make the face a bit over 1 inch..and cut the rest yourself. They turned out pretty good imo.

I wonder then, it sounds like what I have would be able to be used.

Perhaps they mean more in regards to editing the actual 'face'/'person' such as removing a mole, lol.

Yeah I think thats what they mean. hehe your comment about removing a mole made me think of a friend who alter her pics for her facebook/myspace. Her pics are nice but she doesn't look anything like her pics ??? (I had a hard time recognizing her lol)
