5 photoes with date,name and D.O.B and one photo left blank.Does it mean the 6th photo shouldnot have any date also on the back of photo?

Date is fine, but not your information.
Basically CIC uses last photo for CoPR.

It is clearly mentioned on CIC website.
Now all photos get stamp of date from photo services, so 6th one will have date stamp. Do not write name and DOB with pen on it.

I submitted the 6th photograph completely blank at the back. It was accepted and processed.

Do we need to get 6 photos for each family member even though they do not want to apply for PR?

I read the following statement taken from Document Checklist for CEC:

"Supply six(6) photos for each member of your family, whether accompanying or not, and yourself"

I thought we only need to get photos for PR applicants only.

According to check list you need to include Photo for principle applicant and all the dependent member whom you are including in your CEC application . (If in your application you are adding your parents and sibling also then only you need to send their photo)
