I am getting ready to apply for Common-Law Sponsorship from Inland Canada. Myself and my partner already have a lot of evidence included but we want to include phone records too proving communication.

My bills go from April 2016 until February 2017 which is fine, but on the bills it shows other people's phone numbers I am wondering if I should put a black permanent marker line through other people's cell numbers for privacy and confidential reasons or do I just leave it and just highlight the number of my partner's that's relevant.

Feedback appreciated

Up to you. The government is pretty strict about privacy so it's nothing to worry about.

The checklist specifically states that they only want communication proofs from couples that don't live together, so the phone records are completely unnecessary.

I just assumed they were showing records from before the common-law situation. But yea, if you mean during common-law, that's not necessary.

Then again, my husband and I provided chat records despite living together for many years, since they showed we cohabitated for that long based on the message content.
