Phone Number Changed

Hi everyone!

I am pretty sure somewhere on the application I sent in, I put my cell phone number there. Now I am thinking of changing this number. Do you think I should or shouldnt? Do you think for any reason they would contact me by phone? (I sent in an application April 16th 2012) to sponsor my husband to come to Canada. Still haven't heard anything at all back from them. But I am just wondering if they really do use the number we provide for them?

They have been known to call sponsors if there's any questions on the application (docs missing, field incomplete) or if they need to interview you (applicants get called in to an office, sponsors get called up). You could try to change the phone number by e-mailing or calling CIC and once you have confirmation switch it if you really need to switch phone numbers since you are still at step 1.
