Hi Folks,

I am looking to work in Canada, means wants to find a work permit, then apply temporary visa. I have PhD from recognized school in US, 5 years experience in the industry and wants to switch to the academia. How it is easy to get to the academia, has anyone went through similar experience.

Do you know if there is a career fair when schools hires a new faculty..Any suggestions, ideas would be really appreciated.
Regards,

Generally speaking, academia roles are quite competitive (far more applicants than roles) and it can be quite a difficult field to break into. To the best of my knowledge there are no career / job fairs (because there's no shortage of applicants). If you want to know what openings exist, I think, you'd have to research and apply for jobs through each university's individual career section of their web site.
