Hi all, I am looking for advice on what to expect. I will graduate from a 4-year program shortly. I am working at a job where there has been no suitable replacement for me found so I have been asked to stay with the company and telecommute, because I plan to move back close to my family in the U.S. I want to stay with this company so I have agreed but I know that immigration might not react kindly to this. I will need to apply for a PGWP of course, and occasionally return to Canada for work events and conferences. I wouldn't be doing anything wrong but I still worry that I might have difficulty entering Canada when I return in the future for these events or to visit friends. Any thoughts or advice? Thank you!

Hi, I realize this is a very old post, but I am in the exact same situation and would really love if someone could answer this question.

I am a student finishing a graduate program (also did my undergrad in Canada so I qualify for a 3 year PGWP) and am working as a research assistant for a prof. She gave me permission to continue working at a distance from the US once my program finishes, but I'm worried immigration will give me trouble when I try to pass back through the border for meetings.

Thanks!
