Dear Experts !!!
I hope you all are doing well. I have some doubts regarding the eligibility criteria for PGWP in case of distance learning. I raised this question with IRCC but they redirected me to their FAQ page where I didn't found any useful information. Hence requesting to share your expertise knowledge on this.
According to the one of the rules regarding distance learning, a student has to attend 50% of study program from Canada to be considered for PGWP visa. I found about it on https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...rk/after-graduation/eligibility.html#distance
I have couple of doubts with respect to this rule. Firstly, in the current pandemic situation, is this rule is still applied as most of the students opted to complete the course online? Secondly, if this rule exists, would you please let me know how the duration is measured? Is it in months or in semesters? To illustrate, my course duration is from January-2021 to December-2021. Just for the sake of example, please consider my first semester is from January to May and second semester is from August to December. In such case, if I attend my first semester online from India and then travel to Canada in month of July/August to attend second semester which is 50% of my study, will I be eligible for PGWP visa or do I have to reach to Canada on or before June 2021?
Your answer will provide me a clear picture of when I will have to travel to Canada, and I can plan accordingly. Please advice.
Thanks in advance!!!
