I find myself in a situation that I haven’t found anyone else in so I’ll dive in to it now.
I just graduated from a DLI in Canada and am waiting for my letter of completion and final transcript in order to be able to apply for my PGWP.
I have a job lined up for July however, a condition to accept the job offer is that I need access to the United States because they send us for 1-2 weeks for training.
I had applied for my B1/B2US Visa back in February 2020 and my interview date has repeatedly been getting cancelled. It is currently sitting at November 2022. I spoke to the US Consulate explaining that I need access to the United States for July to which they responded saying that I should request the expedited process within 2 weeks of my start date.
So my question now is, if I attend the US Visa in June, would they reject me because I will still be in the process of getting my PGWP?
If they accept me, I still won’t be able to leave Canada and re-enter because I can only apply for a new TRV after I have received my PGWP…
I was considering flagpoling but then would I have a permanent denied entry to the US on my record?
If anyone could shed some light on this it would be much appreciated. Thanks!
