Pgwp to sowp

Hi sir, I' m on my 1 year pgwp, which is going
to expire by, March 2024 and I' m getting
legally married this month in canada and my
future spouse has his pgwp till sep 2025 .So
after marriage registration, i' m planning to
apply for his spousal open work permit. Can
i work while waiting for the sowp after my
pgwp expires? Plz reply sir

Who got a study permit first? You or your future spouse? If you, then you may not qualify for a SOWP based on the below rules. It will be up to IRCC.

Yes, you will have implied status while you wait for a decision.

Hi , He came here first in 2020 studied 3 year course so got 3 yr pgwp expires only in 2025 and i came in 2022 studied 1 yr course so i got only 1 yr pgwp going to expire in 2024 march thats why i m going to apply for SOWP . Is that okay ?
