PGWP question

Hello all,

I am a 5th year engineering international student in Canada, and I only have two semesters of studies left before graduation.
I have been a full time student for every semester for the past 5 years, but because I'm very close to my graduation, I only 2 required class to take this semester (second last semester before graduation), the reason is no other classes required by my graduation is offered this semester. and I don't want to take a 3rd random class to maintain my full time student status because it would cost me $3000 extra.

I understand that in order to get PGWP, I have to maintain full time student status all the time except my final semester, I'm wondering, considering my situation, if I attach an explanation letter, is it ok if I'm a part time student on my second last semester due to the course shortage?

also for the final semester I only have 1 class to take, then I would graduate.

If I have financial resource, I would spend $3k for the third random class and get over with this. You've came long, spent a lot of fund for the last 5yrs. Congratulations in advance as you'll soon graduating

Thank you for your suggestion, I do agree and I lean towards taking a 3d class... I've read other threads and some people got rejected for being part-time for 1 semester.

But the problem is the financial resource, during covid my family is not having as much income as before, sigh

I know, this pandemic has impact many families. yes some rejection can be from 1 semester, failure to maintain FT status. most VO interprete guidelines and make decision, but when you ask for reconsideration then they stick to that one fact and may or may overturn previous decision. If i have means and have to chose, i will choose to pay 3k,
