Hi guys, I'm doing a 2 year Diploma in Finance, I'm in the second term right now. However, I'm looking to change to a 1 year carpentry certificate after I finish this term. Would this change my PGWP time of 3 years? And could it affect anything regarding PR in the future?

Yes it will change your PGWP to one year. Why not finish 2 year diploma and get PGWP? No impact on PR.

This will reduce your chances of getting PR. A 3 year PGWP is important if your priority is to get PR. You will only qualify for a 1 year PGWP since you will only be completing the 1 year certificate.
