Does anyone have experience with extending PGWP while on maternity leave? PGWP was initially given for 1.5 year due to passport expiry date and it is mentioned on the bottom of the permit I would be eligible for 3 year permit. What if I don’t have LMIA and my employer mentioned I am on maternity leave on my employment letter. Will that work? Do I need to submit any other document in my application?

You don't need LMIA to apply for PGWP extension. PGWP is an open work permit. LMIA is for close work permit.
