Hi guys,
I got my PGWP OCT 2019 and my passport is expiring in May 2020, I got PGWP till May 2020.
but I am suppose to get 3 years of PGWP because I have completed 2 years of study in Canada.
In my PGWP under remarks/observations it says : MUST RENEW PASSPORT FOR FURTHER EXTENSION CONSIDERATION
I search everywhere and got confuse because there are some people saying that you cannot apply online and some saying that you can apply online.(I want to apply online because the online process is fast and easy)
In my IRCC account I filled questioner similarly as when I applied my PGWP first time and able to get to the last step where you have to upload your documents and IMM5710e form.
But In my Questioner
What is your current immigration status in Canada?
I said STUDENT
I am confused with this as well
I upload my same document but with the new passport instead of the old one and also in optional document I upload a supporting document of PGWP Extension request letter.
In IMM5710e form in 3 point - I am applying for one or more of the following :
I choose - Apply for a work permit for the first time or with the new employer.
I am confuse about this as well but there is no other option suitable to me because other options are:
Get a new temporary resident permit OR Apply for a work permit with the same employer OR restore my status as a worker.
So please If you already been through this process then help me
