PGWP expiring soon and PCC is taking longer

Hello,

I have recently received an ITA and have accepted the invitation. I am collecting all the documents but my work permit is expiring soon and PCC from India is taking longer time. What can be done in this situation?

I am aware of Tourist record option but should I go for it as i may loose worker status.

Please reply if you're aware of similar situation.

You could apply for PR application right away and indicate that you are waiting for the PCC ( include any evidence such as receipt). Afterwards, you could apply for BOWP when you get AOR. In that way you will not lose your work status.

Thank you for your quick reply. Usually, How much time does it take to get an AOR just asking as time is not a luxury I can have as of now. :)
