PGWP expiring and no reply for LMIA application yet

Hello fellows,

I desperately need your advice. My PGWP is expiring in less than two weeks from now. My employer has applied for LMIA application but no response yet.

Is there anyway I can continue to stay back in Canada even after my PGWP is expired and while my LMIA application is in process?

Please need your suggestions. Thank you for reading and caring to respond.

Apply to change your status to visitor. Make sure CIC receives your application before the PGWP expires. You will have to stop working as soon as your PGWP expires but will be able to remain in Canada as a visitor.
