Hello Friends,

I am planning to go for an executive MBA at Canadian University which would be for 21 months and the classes would be held on the Saturday and Sundays, and sometimes on the weekday evenings. In the recent India Canada.edu forum, visa officer said they would provide study permits for executive MBA as well. However, I want to know if post 21 months study, will I be eligible for 3 year post graduation work permit (PGWP) and If I apply for PR, 21 month Executive MBA will be considered as master degree to benefit my CRS score.

Thanks,
Mohammed

I would get in writing via webform that an executive MBA would qualify for PGWP. The schedule is usually considered part-time. Do you have a study permit already? Are you studying while in Canada? Are you currently in Canada on another permit? Not sure if an executive MBA on weekends would qualify for 3 years of PGWP. Something else I would email IRCC and get the response in writing. Most executive MBAs are usually under a year if you go full-time.

Hello,

I have the same plan as you and have the same doubt. Were you able to confirm if executive MBA grants you PGWP and helps you towards PR?
