Hi All,
Please go over the below case. Any suggestions are appreciated, especially from the senior members.

Timeline:
Jan2015-Dec2015: Completed a 1-year post-grad certificate program from Seneca
Jan2016-Dec 2016: Received a 1 year post grad work permit.
Jan2016-Current: I am currently working full time in a NOC B job in Toronto.

I understand that I am eligible to apply for PR under both Express entry and normal CEC. However I have some questions/concerns:

1- Lets say I do not get selected for the Express Entry. In that case, my best option for PR is the normal CEC application. That application can only be applied once I complete my one year of job experience. My PGWP expires Dec 2016 and my work experience also completes in the same month. What is the best option for me in terms of extending my work permit ? What should I do between the time I apply for my PR and get my AOR ? Do you guys think I can apply for bridging of work permit in December ?

Any suggestions are welcome. If you guys have come across a similar case on this forum, please post the link and I will gladly check it out.
Thanks

From the above, I see no evidence that you are eligible under express entry - and there is no "Normal" CEC - CEC exists only through Express entry. As for eligibility for CEC through express entry, you need one year of full-time Canadian work experience (or the equivalent) before you are eligible.

If you do not get an invitation to apply through express entry, you cannot apply to the CEC program.

According to your list above, you started working in January 2016, so you would not be eligible until January 2017 (exact dates matter).

Your best option is to ask your employer to apply for an LMIA to extend your work permit. You can also look into the regular (non-express entry) PNP programs in your province. and/or IEC programs for your country.
