I will be doing a 1 year Post Graduate Certificate in Brand Management at Seneca starting September and I know it will be risky but a 2 year program would have been too expensive for me at the moment. In order for me to qualify for express entry I would need to gain one year of work experience while in Canada. I have seen in the forums that while the application for PGWP is in process I would automatically be on implied status. I have seen that the current waiting time for the PGWP is about 3 months. Is this a good thing for me? Can I work for those 3 months and then the additional year in which my PGWP would be valid for or does the start date on the PGWP begin as soon as I graduate/applied or is the start date similar to the visa where the date begins as soon as I am accepted?
