I have just recently got the news that my PGWP was approved. Instead of hearing about the delivery of my permit, I got a message about a secure letter, which according to them: "This letter is not valid for travel and is not a permit allowing you to remain in Canada". What is the point then?
I really needed urgent processing of my permit,as I have an important conference in the US soon, and I cannot travel without having the permit first.
Does anybody know how long it usually takes to get the actual permit after approval?
Is there a way around it? I am not sure why it takes them so long to print a piece of paper and send it to me.
I had permits printed before at Point of Entry (POE), they do this at every international airport. Is there a government center of some sort that I can have this printed, instead of waiting indefinitely?
