Hey everyone, I need major advice on choosing the study path in CANADA. I am a resident of Hong Kong (holder of HKSAR passport) and want to move to Canada via study route.
A bit background, I have done an advanced diploma (AD - 3 years) in HK and am eligible for Post Graduation Diploma in Canada. I have applied once last summer however, my visa was rejected. Now I have started my TOP-UP bachelor's degree in HK, which will be completed in March 2021. I was planning to apply for masters in the Fall of 2022 after completing my current degree as the deadline for master's programs is mostly in January/February.
But I don't want to waste another year, So I did some research and came up with a new plan. What if I apply for PGD for May 2021 and then after completing that in Canada go straight for Masters? I can get admission in PGD with my AD and then apply for masters with my bachelor's. This way I can spend a year in Canada with an additional diploma.
What do you guys think? Would that be possible? Or Should I wait another year in HK and apply directly for masters?
(PGD - Admission with Advance Diploma - I don't need my degree to get admission
Maters - Admission with bachelor degree - I don't need a PGD for admission)
So overall, I want to take advantage of the year that I have been graduating bachelor and applying masters.
All opinions are welcome.
