Hello everyone,

My husband and I are apart right now, but as time goes by and we wait for approval we've been thinking about me going up there to visit for the remainder of our waiting period. The biggest problem in this is actually my two cats. I would like to take them with me, since the visit will be extended (and hopefully permanent), but I was wondering if I would have problems bringing them in with me as I would just be a visitor (instead of a PR). We are already sponsor approved, and I probably wouldn't be able to get my affairs in order and get up there before May, so we'll hopefully be well into the application review at Buffalo. I don't know. What do you fine folks think? Anyone bring their pets with them when they went as a visitor? I would probably have my husband with me when I go, so he will have one of the cats and I would have the other.

Any experience or viewpoints welcome :).

Every day I thank heaven for these boards and all of the people who help answer questions.

Also, how difficult would it be for me to change my mailing address to my husbands address with regard to the application processes? Again, out of Buffalo, so I know it's a roll of the dice making a change.

Thanks all.

I brought our dog, just had to show the rabies certificate. And once I knew we were here "to stay" (so to speak) with a 1 year VR, I changed my mailing address to here... I kept my home address in Oregon, but the VO changed both my home and mailing addresses in ecas to my husband's here. No matter, as long as I get anything they send!

Thank you awor!
