Hi guys, good day!

Newbie here!

I need your help regarding being petitioned by my Aunt to Canada. I have no idea regarding this matter. Can someone help me through these? ;) ;)

Are your aunt's parents alive? Does she have any children? Is she married or common law? Does she have any living relatives that are PR / Canadian?

If you answered no to all questions above, then she can sponsor you.

Hi screech339,

Thank you for taking the time to read and respond on my post. I really appreciate it.

She had only one daughter and married at the same time they are already permanent resident of Canada.

I have doubts if I will be the one to apply or my Aunt.?

Thank you.

Your aunt cannot sponsor you through Family Class since she has a daughter. If you wish to immigrate to Canada, you will have to qualify on your own through one of Canada's economic immigration classes like Express Entry / Federal Skilled Worker.

Even if she is now divorced or widowed, your aunt has a daughter, she cannot sponsor anyone under "alone in Canada" clause. Her application to sponsor you will be denied.

Thank you so much scylla and screech339!

You've been such a great help.

Do you think it would be helpful if she will send a supporting letter that she can support me if I we're to immigrate in Canada?

My Aunt is in Canada right now and I'm from the Philippines.

No it won't work. Your Aunt simply cannot sponsor you under current rules.

She can't sponsor you at all, period.

Why don't you try taking up a skilled profession that Canada needs, and apply via Express Entry? You will get PR in 6 months if successful.
