"Personal Information Form for All Applicants" form?

On the Personal Information Form for All Applicants form I am suppose to include ALL family members, whether accompanying or not

This is an example of a Personal Information Form for All Applicants" form.

The thing is, I am sure I have half brothers and sisters who I don't know and never met. I also have a father I have never met.


I only have name and DOB information for two of my half sisters and my father but I would not be able to provide their Marital Status, Occupation etc. And I am sure that I have other half relatives roaming out there.



Do I need to provide information for these "half" relatives?

No need to add details of your half-bro or half-sis. Only give details of your wife, children,parents, brothers and sisters.

you'll need to fill details of your father though. See if you can get these from any document or search him on internet.

Well, you have to mention all these names and details of half brothers and sisters, however as the guide says, if these details were not mentioned, you and them will loose the right in the future of claiming points based on adaptability.

Since we don't know how the future looks like. I suggest you provide the details to the best of your knowledge and provide additional explanation letter. By doing so, you mitigate a risk; the risk that, hypothetically, some of your half brothers might be in Canada and you don't know, then CIC might read this as wrong discloure, negatively.

I understand your point, but on the PIF form there is only a section for sister and brother (no section for half-sister or half-brother), do I simply make a note on the form that these persons are "half" brother/sister?

Yes, you can do this. I also suggest that you attach a letter explaining to CIC that though you provide information on your half brothers/sisters up to the best of your knowledge and that you are not aware of their status. This is a sort of a disclaimer.
