Hello everyone,

I am currently in the process of filling out my personal history. While I was looking for a more permanent job, I worked as an online tutor. In fact I am still employed by this online tutoring company, even though it's been awhile since I took any tutoring jobs as I have a full-time one.

When I first became an online tutor I was in Ottawa. However, I have moved to a different Canadian city for my full-time job and didn't quit being an online tutor.

My question is - when I enter this period of time into personal history, should I create two entries (one for my time as an online tutor in Ottawa and one for my time as an online tutor in my current city) or should I just have one and explain it in a letter?

I appreciate any advice. Thanks.

If you are putting this online tutor job in work history, then you need reference letters whether you claim points for it or not. If you are not claiming points, then might as well put it in personal history and save yourself the hassle of providing reference letters.

I am not claiming points for it so I am entering the job into my personal history, not my work history.

But when I do enter the job into my personal history, I still need to provide a location. I'm not sure if I should split the entry into two (when I was an online tutor living in Ottawa and when I was an online tutor living in my current city) or if I should just have it on one entry.

Thanks for your help!
