We are arriving at Halifax Airport but our belongings are shipped by sea and the paperwork says they will be landed at Toronto. We are preparing our itemised lists for declaration of the belongings on arrival at Halifax but the documentation provided by the shipper says that there has to be a personal attendance at the port of entry for them to clear customs. The wording we were provided with leaves it open to interpretation as to whether this has to be one or both of us, or whether our personal representative provided by the shipping agent can do this. Can anybody please clarify?

Thanks in advance, Simon and Jo
