What is the time taken for Spousal application outland of a permanent resident(protected person). Is the time same to the normal applicants spousal application or is it different?? Normally I have found application of spouses of a PR(ProtectedPerson) gets their application completed in 3-4 months.
Please anyone with proper knowledge on this respond??Thanks

Most straight forward Outland Spousal Sponsorship follow these process steps (the order of the steps may vary)

1. Application received at IRCC
   
2. IRCC start processing application
3. Receive Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR 1)
4. Link Application to Online Account
5. Sponsor Approval and File transfer to VO
6. VO starts processing PR application (AOR 2)
7. Receive Request for Medical Exam
8. Medical Exam @ IRCC Panel Physician Clinic
9. Medical Exam Result
10. Eligibility Assessment
11. Background Check completion
    
12. Passport Request (PPR)
13. Pick-up Permanent Residency Visa (PUM)

Spousal sponsorship process completion time varies depending on the visa office and on a case basis.......will advice you assume process completion takes 12 months to help reduce the waiting stress.......relax.....its a wait game.

I understand your application procedures but its different in case of permanent resident having Protected Persons status. Spousal application goes hand in hand with the principal applicant and once the principal applicant lands the spousal application is processed at the concerned outland visa office...which generally ranges from 3-4 months according to the trend in the recent past. Usually the PR application for normal applicants is within 12-15 months whereas in the protected person the time ranges from 30-48 months starting from hearing to PR status. Hence the spousal application is quicker for them while for normal spousal applicants its 12 months. Thank you for ur response and happy new year 2019. Cheers
