Hello all, I'm Yuri, a Japanese citizen looking for some information on receiving permanent resident status. I looked for some information on my specific situation, but could not find much recent info. Hence, I'm making a new thread.
To give some background into the situation, I met my Canadian boyfriend 18months ago in Canada. We maintained a long distance relationship and are looking to start a life together in Canada. He is looking to marry me outright in order to simplify my PR process. However, I don't think it will be that simple. I applied for a working holiday visa, (term length=1year) and would like to know your guy's advice on how I should approach this. He is an Alberta resident, working in multiple locations throughout the US and Canada, will this disrupt any sponsorship agreements? Also I'm 21years old with a degree, and an intermediate understanding of English.just for additional information. I hope you can help me to understand the fastest route to PR status.
