Hello,

After weeks of calling 50 different phone numbers with no luck, I'll try to ask the question here!

I have a Canadian Permanent Resident Card but I am currently in France and my passport is about to expire.
I am going to make a new one so I can return to Canada.
So my question is: will it be a problem if I return to Canada with my PR Card BUT another passport than the one I used to fill out and activate my PR application? Are they going to refuse me because my passport number has changed?
I don't quite understand how much the card and passport are linked with each other...

Hope you guys can help :)

It's not an issue. As long as both your passport and PR card are valid - you are fine.
