Hi all,
My *landing* date is July 26, 2017, and the officer scribbled this date next to the "Became P.R. on" field on my Confirmation on Permanent Residence (COPR) paper.
My PR card then states expiry date of September 20, 2022.
I understand the 735-day rule over the preceeding five (5) years for renewal.
My questions are as follows:
1. If I moved to Canada "735 plus 1" days prior to my PR card expiry date of September 20, 2022, and solidly stayed within the country since then - without going out of the country - would I be theoretically able to apply for renewal of PR card?
2. How significant is the date of "Became P.R. on" on COPR? Does the proceeding five (5) year right after that date mean anything at all?
Thanks in advance,
