Hi,

I moved to Canada and I am currently living with a friend, therefore there is not house rent contract or utilities bills in my name. Will this an issue later on when renewing the PR or applying for citizenship or this is not required as a proof of physical presence in Canada?

Please help.

Would be best to get some bill in your name sent to the address. I assume you are only a visitor or I would say a drivers license, health card, etc.

A lease or rental agreement and utility bills do not, in themselves, prove physical presence. You would not have had to be present to develop them.

I believe that the best proofs are things like payslips, medical services usage, school attendance etc. These tend to demonstrate that you have actually been here.

Best to have a combination of different proof in general as pointed out by @zadoz. I see you are a PR. If you intend to settle here there shouldn't be a problem establishing your residency over the long term.
